Abstract:

The contribution presents results of research aimed at the application of modern quality and performance appraisal methods and tools in industrial enterprises in the Czech Republic. The test sample included 201 enterprises, out of which 75 were micro-enterprises and small enterprises (53 for-profit corporations), 77 medium-sized enterprises (54) and 49 large enterprises (38). The research was carried out between 2016 and 2017 and it still has not been ended. A questionnaire was used; using statistical methods, the frequency of the tested methods application (Management by Objectives, Balanced Scorecard, Six Sigma, EFQM, TQM, Kaizen, lean manufacturing, Just in Time) was analysed in terms of profitability and enterprise size-category.
