Abstract:

Selection of the appropriate teaching method is one of the key competencies of every teacher. At present big pressure is exerted on teachers in this respect as active involvement of the pupils in the teaching process is becoming more and more prominent. At the same time sophisticated selection of teaching methods protects the teacher against stereotype. For better result of teaching method selection new and new systems keep emerging for their ideal sorting. For those reasons every teacher should know a variety of teaching methods. The wider his/her teaching method portfolio the better his/her adaptability to various situations emerging in the course of the teaching process. New methods and trends have also been appearing in teaching mathematical subjects. Use of computers and mathematic software for calculations and simulations of mathematic and economic phenomena keeps spreading in the field. There is also the effort to create online tests and quizzes which correct automatically or advise the student how to proceed. Another useful aid is problem solutions with explained calculation steps.
