Abstract:

Despite the advancement in safety systems and equipment, ensuring workplace safety continues to be the biggest problem which means there is need to increase the role of human contribution. Leadership’s role has been momentous in workplace safety however for safety-critical organizations relationship-oriented leadership might not be as effective. The focus of this study is to present a monitoring style of leadership (MBEA) as a solution to improve workplace safety for safety-sensitive organizations. The practical contributions of the proposed research agenda is also discussed.
