Abstract:
This paper aims to identify the most commonly used IT systems evaluation methods to evaluate the performance of banking applications, and explore different aspects related to the field of IT management in the studied banks. The paper surveyed 24 banks operating in Jordan, depending on a structured interview with 24 IT managers presenting each bank. The results showed that the tendency to apply preimplementation IT systems evaluation methods was more positive than the tendency to apply postimplementation IT evaluation methods. The study further classified these methods and ranked them according to their importance to the surveyed banks.
