Multidimensional Comparative Analysis of Human Population Changes in Japan in terms of the Covid-19 Pandemic and Economic Security

Abstract:

The authors attempted to conduct a multidimensional analysis of the population in Japan between 2006-2023. The population changes in Japan over the last dozen or so years are the result of many factors, including a low birth rate, an aging society and a limited inflow of immigrants. Due to the policy of limited admission of foreigners, the population in Japan is not ethnically diverse. The research shows that from 2009 to 2023 there is a decreasing trend in the number of people in Japan. The government is taking many preventive measures, e.g. increasing the number of migrants, increasing the employment of women, employing older people.
