Abstract:

Taking into consideration the requirements is a crucial step to ensure the building of the data warehouse schema corresponding to the users’ needs. Despite its importance, no much attention has been paid to this step causing the failure of some DW projects. 

In order to overcome this problem and to facilitate the task for a non-computer user, we propose the integration  of  an assistant  system.  The  latter  is  based  on  traces  corresponding  to  the  previous experiences.  It  stores  the current manipulation  as  trace;  it  compares  it  to  the  previous  ones;  and  it suggests the possible objects to use.
