New Communication Technologies And Employees’ Well-Being In The Management Of Polish Largest Companies

Abstract:

In modern world the development of new technologies changes the rules of operation and competition of companies on the market. The need of innovativeness and adaptation to constant changes requires from the companies to implement new information and communication technologies into their activities. The changing operating conditions influence the way the employees perform their work and entail the necessity of acquiring new skills and knowledge.  This paper tries to answer the question of the scope of use of new communication technologies in the largest Polish companies and the consequences of their use to the employees well-being. It presents the results of the survey research conducted in 2019 on the 179 companies largest by revenue in Poland. The results suggest that for many companies the use of new communication technologies in their professional activity is essential for their existence and competitiveness on the market, but many of the newest information and communication technologies (ICT) are not equally in use. A lot of employees use new communication tools and remote work what influence their work-life balance and general well-being.
