Abstract:

The Internet of Things (IoT) in its current form requires more and more attention from information systems developers, especially in the area of business as there are numerous practical and theoretical controversial issues. First, main views and efforts focused on defining what IoT means, what is the architecture of IoT systems. Most studies discuss the issue from the perspective of physical components and the infrastructure needed to ensure communication without giving similar attention to changes that appear in information systems from the perspective of functional requirements, data streaming and data processing. In this context, based on literature review, modelling methods and field expertise, we will underline the main aspects that should be considered in the integration of IoT into information systems, especially changes related to requirements based on the suggested general framework of the information system interaction with external entities in the context of IoT.
