Abstract:
The article endeavours to analyse the economic models which are suited to the new opportunities and threats brought by the environment, namely the adoption of new technologies that lead to product development and process improvement, as well as to the implementation of transformative business models. The analysis was performed via a study that seeks to highlight the efforts made in respect of adopting innovative, sustainable strategies by companies operating in the textile-garments sector in Romania and the long term prospects in this field. The work underlines the necessity of knowing and being aware of the advantages brought by the adoption of economic models suited to consumers’ new needs and desires.
