Abstract:
The article discusses the benefits of information technology in promoting digital tourism. Today the global society is hardly imaginable without different portable technical equipment, and it is the
condition for digital tourism development. The introduction of the global Internet in all spheres of
human activity has allowed the development of e-commerce, which also firmly established in the
tourism industry. At the present stage, tourist sites occupy a significant amount in the total number of Internet sites that have appeared. Digital transformation of the tourism industry is a very relevant topic for a modern globalized society. The article defines the role of the Internet and mobile applications in the development of a new type of digital tourism organization. The possibilities of the Internet are attractive for a potential tourist because he can independently be acquainted with the country he is going to visit, learn about attractions and hotels, as well as the conditions of their stay. Gradually, travelers began to trust such innovations as e-visas and e-tickets, and use them, which makes it possible to talk about the rapid development of digital tourism.Â
