Abstract:
A new generation is entering the world of work with its own values and perceptions. This so-called Generation Z is the first age group to have grown up completely digitized. The ad-hoc availability of information on the internet shapes their behavior and makes them seem impatient at times. Strong family support and the changed role of parents, away from educators and towards advisors and coaches, has made them grow into individual personalities who expect support and encouragement from their superiors to develop professionally. Influenced by the negative developments of their predecessor generations, they are socially and politically committed to a better world. They are looking for the meaning of life and want to realize themselves both professionally and privately. Career is not the focus of their lives.
