Abstract:
PaIn a previous study, the authors have identified and used fourteen different physiological factors to detect one of twenty two (22) different emotions, using a combination of fuzzy logic and neural networks [1]. A system developed on the basis of the previous research would require the use of 14 measurements from 14 different sensors, and such is considered a rather complex system. In this study, we investigate a rather optimized system, where a subset of the measured input factors can be used to detect the same emotions. As such, this research provides a cost effective method for detecting human emotions.
