Abstract:
The problem of international migration continues to be highly topical for the public, politicians and experts in the Czech Republic. Although international migration to Europe no longer reaches the numbers as in the middle of the decade, it is still an important phenomenon. In the case of the Czech Republic, it still raises concerns as well as public and political attention and its perception has an impact on the official position of the state and its leaders. This contribution aims to map briefly the perception of international migration from the perspective of strategic security documents of the Czech Republic and the shift in the perception by the leaders of the state’s executive. The text is based on the knowledge of the collective of authors and their long-term interest in the matter and it follows up on the contribution from last year’s IBIMA conference.
