Abstract:
Operating speed model with roughness parameter is hardly found in the previous studies. Thus this study is to developed and compares the newly developed model with existing model. This model was developed by obtaining data from Malaysian sites at two lane horizontal curve highway. The collected data is undergo the regression analysis to produce the new model namely V85CE with the R2 of 73.6%. The developed model can be associated with the prediction speed model for practitioner. The model further validated and compared with existing FHWA and Canadian Model by using R2, MAPE, MAE, RAMSE and T-Test. The successful developed model has shown more significant outcome compared to other existing models.
