Opinion Poll on Patient Satisfaction Assessment of Private Medical Centers, off line Marketing Channel Support

Abstract:

The private health segment in Romania is expanding every day, passing more and more, opening more locations, managing to attract as many people as possible, and also to keep loyal the existing ones. Marketing, advertising, development and market research is one of the points that private medical centers are most focused on. Due to different types of medical services, as well as differentiated pricing and tariffs, the activity in this branch of the economy is very diverse and difficult to quantify; therefore, the authors attempted a research of the market of private medical services in Romania through an empirical survey.

The main objective of our work was to evaluate the satisfaction of patients' expectations by providing medical services and improving the quality of the medical act. The main conclusion of the paper was that quality medical services lead to an increase in the satisfaction of both the patient and the medical staff and, in order to be competitive, a unit providing medical services must know their possibilities, study the performance of the staff, is concerned about patient satisfaction, knowledge of the market and trends of its evolution. At the same time, by choosing this topic with a major impact on the health status of a country's population, the authors tried at the end of the paper to highlight the main strengths, weaknesses, but also the opportunities and threats regarding the private health system in order to improve the quality of the medical system current.
