Abstract:

In order to strengthen the strategic partnership with the Republic of Moldova , Romania needs to continue its efforts in the sphere of the political and cultural activities in the area of economy, particularly in terms of trade and growth of direct investment. Bilateral relations have improved significantly since 2009, after coming to power of pro-European parties. At political and administrative level, they have signed not less than 16 agreements, memoranda and protocols, all the central administration level. At the cultural level contacts between the two countries have grown substantially and political relations have improved significantly. For Strategic Partnership to be solid and sustainable, it is necessary that economic relations between the two countries to develop at the same time as the political and cultural ones.
