Abstract:
New methods of digital printing, mainly electrophotographic and inkjet, require the use of paper with specific properties that can be printed with dry or liquid toner and liquid ink. The first solution to this problem was the emergence of new types of papers intended for digital printing (electrophotographic, spray or other). Another solution made possible by the development of digital machines was the use of paper with universal properties, which can be used in various digital and classical printing techniques. This area requires close cooperation of specialists in the paper and printing industry and has a difficult task: for the printing industry - to specify the requirements for printing paper, and for paper producers - to meet such requirements during paper production. The latest trend is the use of usual paper for printing (coated and uncoated) in digital printing systems. Such papers in machines before or during printing are specially prepared by applying special coatings. In addition, product quality requirements must also be met. In today's situation of diversity of digital printing technologies, it is not easy to predict how paper will behave in specific printing conditions, what will be the nature of its interaction with ink and what will be the impact of technological factors on the quality of imprints. To obtain high-quality images by any printing method, it is advisable to optimize the quality parameters. Thus, in [1] the parameters of the technological process of screen printing on oxobiodegradable film were optimized to obtain a qualitative image on the package, where by means of correlation and nonlinear regression analysis obtained mathematical models of ink abrasion resistance and imprints resolution. The reliability of the model is determined by the multiple correlation coefficient, which characterizes the correlation between variables in the regression equations. In [2], optimization is carried out by creating a model of logical inference and the function of belonging factors for the quality of the printing process. Therefore, in view of the widely popular digital printing techniques, an important and urgent task is to optimize the parameters of a digital ink-jet printing.
