Optimizing Sustainable Economic Competitive Advantage using Mathematical Programming Algorithms

Abstract:

Some countries have economic competitive advantage over others. Such advantage can be optimized. In this study, how these advantages can be maximized are explored. Mathematical programming models; including Integer programming and dynamic programming, are used to build appropriate models that adequately represent the problem under consideration, with special attention to the sustainability constraint. These models are solved using computer software; including LINGO and LINDO. Sensitivity analysis is carried out to ascertain the level of sensitivity of the parameters used in the models. The results obtained will help countries with economic competitive advantage to maximize it in a sustainable way.
