Optimum designed Quality Costs dependence on type of product

Abstract:

The customer expects from a goods (or services), both quality and delivery time or service as short and especially a price that is justified by the value in use of that product. The major problem of the Optimum Quality is first in detection and then design and implementation a certain quality of a product, so this quality level to fold exactly on current market or customer’s requirements, while generating a profit for a producer. The authors consider that the Design stage deserves special attention and a thorough analysis, since it is a key factor in the success or failure of a product. In this paper our approach a less studied aspect referring to particularization the problem of Optimal Quality, depending on the type of product. Moreover, we propose a classification of the products based on the probability of risk occurring in terms of value in use and depending on the field of use. By applying Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and KAIZEN methodology is effective at identifying and correcting process failures early on so that producer can avoid the nasty consequences of poor performance.
