Abstract:
The agrarian sector of Ukraine's economy is intended to provide food security and food independence of the country. Recently, however, there has been a decrease in the quality of agricultural products, due to the deterioration of the ecological state of agricultural land and the decline of soil fertility- an indispensable source of life support for the country and the basis for the welfare of the population. The fertile soil layer is lost, the humus content is reduced, the area of acid and saline soils grows, 38% of the country's arable land is re-densified by soil erosion. Such processes negatively affect on the ecological quality and in some cases on the safety of agricultural products. A significant part of the produced agricultural products and foodstuffs do not meet the world standards.
