Abstract:
The aim of the article is to identify the orientation elements describing the path of the culturalorganisation development, which will constitute the basis for developing the method and tools for measuring orientation of the cultural institution. The paper presents the research that was carried out on the basis of an exploratory, single case study, which answers the question whether the assumptions about these orientations made by the authors of the publication were correct. The empirical study confinned that a sufficient, but not limited, set of cultural organisation’s activities orientations describing the path of its’ development includes categories like products/market, processes, functions, projects, innovation and technology, geographic expansion and inter-organisational networks. The question about the undertaking measurement of these orientations remains open. Filling in this gap requires further qualitative empirical research.
