Organization of Public Transport in the World – Application Overview

Abstract:

Public transport is most often reduced to the functioning of urban transport. Its problems are considered in the context of energy consumption, time of use, improvement of user mobility or improvement of the quality of the environment related to limiting the traffic of passenger vehicles. This article presents the main features of the various methods of organizing transport that are currently used to organize public transport around the world. As a result of modelling the public transport strategy, tariffs, transport identification systems and connection patterns are created. In this respect, the simplest system is found in Vienna, London and Seoul. The most important element of the transport organization system is the tariff system. Its shape and functioning result from the continuous learning of the system, the efficiency of information processing and the degree of adaptation to errors.
