Abstract:
The aim of the research was to identify organization problems concerning employee burnout. The research conducted in the article was based on quantitative secondary data and analysis of available source literature. Research methods adopted in the article include: critical analysis of source literature and an analysis of secondary data. The aim of the article is to discuss the employee burnout in the workplace and to identify the symptoms burnout.
The following research question was formed in the paper: whether has the activities of the employee and his or her lowered performance can be costly for the employer?
The analysis and assessment carried out in the article indicated that the professional burnout is a problem that is becoming more and more evident in the 21st century. Virtually all employees develop the condition, but it happens at different times and to different extents. Each and every professionally active person is exposed to it: regardless of the pursued profession, sex, age or seniority. Overload with professional duties, negative interpersonal relationships, tense relations, high requirements and great ambitions of the given individual are particularly significant in this respect. A huge role in the development of the syndrome is also played by the workplace, particularly the management, who should create proper work conditions and distribute duties fairly
