Abstract:
Organizational culture has an important contribution to the proper operations of a successful organization by fostering communication, integrating new members, creating trust and adopting common means to set and achieve goals. Organizational culture supports economic and social effectiveness, increasing at the same time the adaptability of the firm in a competitive environment. In this paper we highlighted a close relationship between organizational culture and the competitiveness level of the organization. In fact, it is essential to understand that a company with a strong and effective organizational culture can avoid negative consequences of an unfavorable economic or social environment. The results of our study reveal that managers are aware of the importance of organizational culture in their business success and also that a good innovation culture can bring them important competitive advantages.
