Abstract:
The main purpose of this paper is to provide a general overview of hospital risk management research, using bibliometric techniques. The methodology used is based on the results found in Web of science (WoS) database of Thomson&Reuters. The most important advantage of these techniques consists in the fact that provide a general picture, identifying the most relevant research in the area.The information technology development facilitated the development of bibliometric analysis, which examines the publications, citations and their source of information on a specific research area. The hospital risk management represents all processes by which it is identified, analyzed, mitigated or avoided a risk, and focus on increasing the performance at all the levels of a hospital.
