Abstract:

The development of information and communication technologies creates opportunities to support innovation in the health services sector in the sphere of eHealth services and tools. The implementation of digital technologies in the sphere of health affects the safety of patients. The question about the possibilities of using eHealth services and tools in supporting patient safety management becomes a key issue. The aim of the article is to present the essence of patient safety and the objectives, benefits and areas of eHealth application in the process of patient safety management.
