Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of adopting Six Sigma on Romanian SMEs. This research was conducted on 79 Romanian SMEs that represent a wide variety of industries and company characteristics, utilizing rigorously constructed hypothesis to ensure the validity of conclusions, and investigating the impact of adopting Six Sigma on Romanian SMEs. The results of the study indicate that adopting Six Sigma positively impacts SME through the efficiency with which employees are deployed and operational management techniques which are used. We observe an enhanced employee productivity results on Six Sigma SMEs’ rate of improvement relative to the rate of improvement of other SMEs who not implement Six Sigma.
