The Perception of Inequality in Employment of Specific Groups of Employees in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Achieving gender and age equality in the workplace is important not only because it is .fair.and .the right thing to do,.but because it is also linked to a country.s overall economic performance. The aim of presented study is to analyze the perception of inequality in employment of specific groups of employees in the Czech Republic. The research was realized in the Czech Republic at Mendel University in Brno during a course Sociology and Social Psychology. Respondents were asked to assess which groups of employees according to their gender, age, culture etc. are favored in employment,  appraisal  and  promotion  to managerial positions. The research sample consisted of 535 respondents.
