Abstract:
The objective of this paper is present results of Performance Evaluation Model designed for a company of construction sector in the Colombian Caribbean region, which will assess the performance and behavior of employees, identify training needs and establish promoting policies. In the case of evaluation by competences, we defined a model using 180°methodology, which is based on the needs and expectations not only chief, but all those who are involve in the employee’s workplace. This methodology was combined with the downward correction method for weighting of frequencies, this introduce the concept of frequency and forced to "think twice"; select first the degree and second to locate the frequency. Finally, performance evaluation model based on management compares achieved versus expected results, then analyzing the causes that have been able to intervene in this disagreement.
