Abstract:
The question about personal security is in fact the question about the level and sense of security. How security is seen by a human is often the result of the human ability to observe the world and perceive events, which makes humans identify security with satisfaction of their own needs, freedom of fear and certainty that any emerging threats will be minimised by the dedicated institutions. This is related with a more general issue: does the object of security encompass only humans (human communities) or other entities as well (institutions, society, State)? It is also worth considering the primary area of the search for personal security, beginning from the standpoint of individual liberalism, rationalism or structuralism. Indeed, the aforementioned issues not only represent a cognitive value and play a role of a certain postulate of structuring the contemporary cogitation regarding personal security, but also add to further studies into security sciences.[1]
