Personnel Risks of the Knowledge Economy: On the Example of Science-Based Companies

Abstract:

At present, countries that are leaders in the field of the knowledge economy will determine the main trends of world development and thereby increase their level of well-being. The key factor in the formation and intensive development of the knowledge economy is the presence of highly qualified specialists in the field of science and technology, who make up the labor reserve of the country. Modern trends in the development of the world economy have led the largest science-based companies to build their personnel policy to attract such employees based on the implementation of the open innovation market strategy. This trend has led to the fact that most of the personnel risks faced by such companies are mainly caused by the external environment of the organization, so it is quite difficult to predict them. As a result, science-based companies fall into the “trap of uncertainty”. In the work, these personnel risks were identified, the factors and reasons causing them were identified, and also constructive proposals were given for minimizing some of the risks considered.
