Phenomenon of ‘Service Society’ as Applied to the Russian Economy

Abstract:

The paper proves that the phenomenon of ‘service society’ is not universal. It is geographically localized, and first of all refers to the ‘golden billion’ countries. Their modern development is characterized by moving manufacturing infrastructures to the third world. The research concludes that this type of deindustrialization is not suitable for Russia. On the contrary, in Russia, the service component must be integrated into industrial production, and not opposed to it. The introduction of service part to the industrial sector will ensure the Russian innovation breakthrough.
