Abstract:
Digital culture is rapidly filling the modern space of human existence. The author analyzes the origins of the phenomenon of digital culture and finds them in the philosophy of Pythagoras and Plato. Despite the presence of historical and cultural sources, the article shows that the virtual world can not claim the status of culture in the classical sense, because it has no key characteristics: the ability to typify forms, reproducibility, ethical criteria. The absence of ethical norms and spiritual aspects is one of the main problems of the phenomenon of digital reality. Along with the undeniable practical advantages of digitalization, the desire of the digit to replace a person in art looks dangerous, as they can deprive a person of spiritual development.Prospects for the development of digital culture in the anthropological aspect associated with the need for its philosophical understanding and identification of the impact on the spiritual world of man.
