Abstract:

Efficient use of renewable resources is a response to the growing global environmental concerns and increasingly restrictive national policies on climate change and the environment. Consequently, investments in innovative solutions and technologies in the field of renewable energy are becoming more and more popular and promising. Solar energy is considered the most forward-looking renewable energy source. The most popular method to utilize solar energy is to generate electricity using photovoltaic cells. The main objective of the present paper was to present the problem of innovation in energy production from renewable resources. The paper presents new technologies used in the production of photovoltaic panels, discusses the photovoltaic market in Poland, and shows the advantages of owning a photovoltaic micro-installation.
