Abstract:

To reduce the losses caused by diseases and pests, weeds and other plant pathogens, in addition to the agro-technical measures used, pesticides are widely used in agricultural production both preventive and curative. The paper proposes an analysis of the quantities of plant protection products, at the country level as well as at the level of Brăila county, between 2012-2018. To carry out the work, official statistical data were analyzed and processed. The results of the researches highlighted the fact that by withdrawing from the market of several plant protection products and by approving some plant protection products that are used in much lower concentrations, the consumption of these products has decreased slightly in recent years.
