Abstract:
The article deals with the issue of portfolio, program, and project management in implementing projects co-financed by European funds in public organizations. The case analysis is presented on the example of a technical university. The study consists of four logically connected chapters. In the first one, the possibility of co-financing the realization of strategic goals from EU funds within, among others, POWER competitions are described. As an example of such activities, there is shown a correlation between the implemented by the Silesian University of Technology POWER project with identification mark P4S and general and specific objectives defined in the University Development Strategy. The second part of the article is devoted to the undertakings division into portfolios, programs, and projects related to organization management levels. The possibility of considering the POWER project in a broader scope and its division into programs and projects was pointed out. Next, the POWER P4S project was presented from the point of view of formal and informal teams appointed within its framework, which carry out activities at different management levels. The last part of the article is devoted to multitasking in terms of the multitude of roles assumed by individual team members.
