Abstract:
The contribution evaluates the progress of Central European countries in their efforts to converge towards to the old Member States of EU. The contribution examines the impact of the integration of Central European countries into the EU on their growth and process of catching up. Evaluates the creation of conditions for narrowing the performance gap between Central Europe and the old Member States of EU, evaluates the rate of catch-up process and factors that have the greatest impact on the real convergence of Central Europe to the average of EU15.
