Abstract:
Disabled visitors and senior visitors with some health limitations are an exciting group for the tourism market. They travel during the low season, in many cases also with accompaniment. Orientation on accessible tourism brings some benefits also for tourism destinations. To those benefits belong, e.g., generation of employment opportunities or increasing revenues from tourism. The research of the paper was oriented to a holiday offer for disabled visitors. The paper maps possibilities for disabled visitors during their stay in the Central Bohemia Region. Two tourist-attracted towns were in the center of research attention – Kutná Hora and Poděbrady. The paper analyzed accessibility of accommodation and catering facilities, barrier-free options for visiting cultural sites, educational or cycling routes.
