Possibilities of Using the Ten Step Method (TSM) to Determine the Operational Capabilities of Devices

Abstract:

Each device, regardless of the place of use, is subject to a series of tests related to its suitability and usability. Most often these are tests associated with operational safety related to health and safety regulations and, in the case of electrical or electronic devices, tests in the field of electromagnetic compatibility. However, the set of tests necessary for a given type of device is much wider. This also includes tests in the field of resistance to mechanical and environmental factors, and on their basis, making decisions related to determining the usefulness of the device until the next inspection, i.e., service life. Another approach to determining inspection intervals related to the impact of environmental factors on the operational ability of the devices is the so-called Ten Steps Method TSM.
