“Practices of CSR in Moroccan Banks: A Measure of the Impact of CSR on the Financial and Non-financial Performance”

Abstract:

Given to the increased complexity of the legislation, mobility pressure from the various partners of the bank and changes in competitive conditions, banks are constrained to a global vision of traditional and new obstacles that may thwart their development. The objective of this study is to make an analysis and assessment of policies by banks in sustainable development and corporate social responsibility. They are more likely to say that sustainable development is one of the axes of their overall strategy. At the heart of the economic system, banks are they sensitized by environmental and social issues? Today they are the actors of sustainable development? What could be the motives of banks to engage in a process that generates additional costs and therefore, a priori, a lower profitability?
