Preconditions for Using Marketing Communication on Social Networks in Religious and Pilgrimage Tourism in the Prešov Region

Abstract:

The article provides a view on the issue of e-marketing communication of religious cultural-historical and pilgrimage sites in the Prešov region. This is a relatively new topic, which has not been thoroughly investigated in Slovak conditions. The Prešov region is attractive in this respect, with a large number of places, buildings and significant pilgrimage sites appealing to domestic and foreign visitors due to their nature or historical value. This creates underlying potential for future development of this type of tourism in the region.
