Prediction of Investment Attractiveness of Metallurgical Companies

Abstract:

The investment attractiveness of companies is a significant factor for making a decision about investing. The metallurgical industry has always been attractive for investing capital. The complexity of forecasting the value of metallurgical companies as an investment object determined the relevance of the research topic. It is revealed that the indicators characterizing the financial and economic state are traditionally used to assess the investment attractiveness of companies and do not fully take into account the growth prospects of companies. The article analyzes the value chain of M. Porter with the aim of forming on its basis the key success factors (KSF) of a metallurgical company that make it attractive for investors. The indicators characterizing KSF are determined. The authors proposed a modified chain of values for metallurgical companies, based on the value chain of M. Porter. The features of the proposed option are the use of factors that characterize the market environment of the enterprise. The results of the conducted analytical studies confirmed the possibility of practical use of the "value chain" for making sound investment decisions.
