Abstract:
Purpose - This study highlight on the usage and preferable method that been used by postgraduate student while searching their electronic resources. Problem Statement - The issues that being address in this study is on the lack and weaknesses of searching tools that been used by postgraduate student. This is also involved identifying system performance and that facilitate them in searching the electronic resources. Research Objective - This study attempts to explore the use of electronic recourses in Malaysian Higher Learning Institutions. Research Design - This study was distributing questionnaires to 7 selected Malaysia Higher Learning Institution which being selected based on amount of research works produced. From 280 set of questionnaires, they are only 200 questionnaires can be used as a finding to this study. Findings - This study show that 162 respondent out of 200 choose internet as a method in searching the electronic resources. Originality/Value - This study can be used as a guideline in ensuring other medium and platform is in line with the usage of Internet. Then, this study also was being conducted during middle of semester in ensuring the validity of data collection reach up to the maximum output. Conclusion - The electronic resources is very important and the institution should focus on it especially in terms of retrieval process. These include the involvement of library and other associated department in any institution that responsible in facilitating postgraduate student needs.
