Abstract:
In this contribution we are focusing on the preparation of secondary vocational school pupils with a focus on the development of emotional intelligence. We deal with emotional intelligence and its significance in connection with the fact that it is not enough for the application to have knowledge and to control its field. To achieve success, emotional and social skills are often needed, such as self-realization, self-control, motivation, empathy and social dexterity. We also present a project aimed at realizing an analysis of the current state at secondary technical schools in the Slovak Republic in connection with the development of the emotional intelligence of pupils and the creation of a concept model to support the development of the emotional intelligence of pupils of secondary vocational schools.
