Abstract:
The production and distribution of most food products with longer shelf life is often carried out in very complex and long marketing channels. The purpose of the study is to analyze and evaluate changes in price relations between individual links in the production and distribution channel of a selected primary processing cereal product. Data from 2004-2019 were taken from the studies of the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics - National Research Institute - Agricultural Market. Analyses, Trends, Assessments. In the last years of the analysed period, there is a clear tendency to shape retail flour prices regardless of changing grain procurement price and flour sales prices. From 2011, retail prices of flour initially grew steadily and then were kept at a fairly stable level, which, with fluctuating prices at the previous two levels, contributed in total to the stability of achieving a high trading margin. This situation was slightly disturbed by the change in price formation policy of flour companies in 2018.
