Abstract:

In most developing countries, the rate of Child Mortality is still high, despite significant government health expenditure. Many have argued that considerable spending on health has not impacted positively on child care in most of these countries.  It then appears that either the government health expenditure is not correctly channeled towards the provision of health facilities or the issue of child mortality goes beyond what money can buy. Hence, there may be   a need for adequate knowledge of the maintenance of hygienic conditions and general sanitation through education. This study examines the effects of   Primary School Enrolment on Child Mortality.  The study used secondary data. It also made use of    descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. At the end of the research, the study provided appropriate policy recommendations.
