Process Innovation as a Factor for the Development of Small Enterprises in Poland

Abstract:

Process management is one of the paths for small enterprises innovative development. Enterprises often work in the face of limited, incomplete information. For this reason they are afraid of the risk of implementing new / innovative solutions so that their decisions do not negatively affect the overall activity of the organisation. Despite noticing how important innovations are in today's competitive economy, Polish small companies rarely implement innovative activities. The aim of the study is to show the role of process innovations in small organisations, the possibilities of analysing and implementing them. It has been shown that the appropriate modelling, design and analysis of data on the entire process allows the implementation of new process solutions with less risk. This study presents a practical example of a company. A company that, thanks to the design of a new, although more expensive and more time-consuming process, can successfully identify this solution as innovative and worth implementing. The IT tool used allowed to carry out the applied analyses and simulations. It increases the credibility of the decision.
