Professional Adaptation Diagnostics of Pedagogical University Graduates

Abstract:

The article addresses the approach to the realization of professional adaptation diagnostics of a higher educational institution graduate. The interest in the issue stems from the mainstreaming objective of preparing a mobile, adaptive, competitive, in-demand specialist capable of integrating into the professional community. The article reveals the basic aspects of the actualization of preproduction professional adaptation in accordance with the leading methodological guideline of modern education development, i.e. competency building approach.  The approach to the implementation of professional adaptation diagnostics of a pedagogical higher educational institution graduate is justified. Based on the entwinement of the professional adaptation and the development of the individual, formation of a personality, as well as taking into account the fact that the progress of adaptation depends on the individual’s adaptation resources, certain criteria and indicators incorporate as a basis of a student’s professional adaptation diagnostics. The diagnostic complex proposed in the article is an attempt to equip the subject of professional development with the assessment tool of readiness for professional activity and identifying areas of difficulty with the purpose of correcting the pathway of an individual’s professional development.
