Abstract:
The problem of the risk of delay of project activities start times is considered and related especially to the construction sector. The delays in project activities starts are modelled by means of type 2 fuzzy numbers and project activities durations by type 1 fuzzy numbers. An algorithm for calculation of the influence of the risk of delaying project activities start times on the total project duration is proposed. The resulting estimation of the total project duration is a type 2 fuzzy number. It can be analyzed for various risk events and compared with the estimated project duration which does not take into account possible the delays of project activities starting times. The proposal is illustrated by means of a real world construction project.
