Abstract:

The article outlines a possible procedure for implementing the mechanisms of project management in the implementation of priority investment projects in the area of forest development within the framework of the main activities of the state program for the development of forestry in Russia. Currently, forest sector requires introduction of modern management methods, financial and economic mechanisms that would improve the efficiency of forest use, increase the share of deep processing of timber in the structure of timber industry, ensure the growth of budgetary efficiency of public spending in the industry, while maintaining ecological balance of forest plantations. In modern conditions, the ability of the executive apparatus to realize planned projects and tasks and to achieve the set goals within the time frame and within the established budgets becomes especially important.
